My tape collection is small, but still something I enjoy from time to time. My first car was a 2004 VW Polo and it had a tape player. Mostly I used one of those converters so that I could listen to digital music, but it was nevertheless novel to find I could still buy new tapes even into the 2020's. Eventually I had to replace the car, but I kept the tapes and have a battery-operated tape player for when I want to give these a listen. I like the "hum" of cassette tapes and the way they gently muffle the sound.
